Bike rider seriously injured in weekend crash

Terryville, NY-  Suffolk County Police say a bicyclist was seriously injured Sunday night at the intersection of Old Town Road and Boyle Road in Terryville.  Officials say a 24-year-old cyclist was struck after he failed to yield the right of way, to traffic that had the green light.  The bicyclist was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.  The driver of the vehicle that struck the cyclist was a a 73-year-old woman, who police say remained at the scene and was not injured.
