Rocky Point, NY- Two people and two dogs were rescued from the water on Sunday after their boat capsized boat in the Long Island Sound. Police say the boat flipped over about a half mile out from Hagerman Landing Rd in Rocky Point around 4:30 in the afternoon on May 9, 2021. Marine Bureau helped flip the boat and assisted in towing the it to Mt. Sinai Marina. Officials say the people rescued are doing okay but no word on the condition of the dogs.
