Over 130lbs of prescription drugs collected during National Drug Take Back

Southampton, NY-  Officials in Southampton say they collected over 130 pounds of unwanted, unused and expired medications over the weekend.  The Southampton Town Police and the Southampton Town Police Explorers participated in the DEA National Drug Take Back event on Saturday, April 24th.  If you missed the event but have medications you need to dispose of, a medication disposal receptacle is located in the lobby of the Southampton Town Police Department located at 110 Old Riverhead Rd in Hampton Bays.  If you have questions about medication disposal, you can call the department directly at 631-702-2272.
