Suffolk announces $100M plan to improve water quality

Lake Ronkonkoma, NY- Officials in Suffolk County are looking to pump $100 million dollars into improving Suffolk’s water quality.  County Executive Steve Bellone and District Attorney Tim Sini, announced plans yesterday to offer grants to Long Islanders to swap out old cesspools for new cleaner systems, also plans to build sewer systems in some towns on the South Shore as well as a plan to track polluters with help from the Suffolk County Water Authority.
