(East Farmingdale, NY) Severe storms ripped across the south, shooting off tornadoes and killing at least five people early on Friday morning. Part of that storm system, will make its way north to Long Island for today. For Friday, expect showers then turning warmer and windy. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 2pm Friday until 12am on Saturday morning. National Weather Service says, west winds 15-25mph with gusts up to 50mps are to be expected. Power outages are possible.
