Paying more at the tap, Suffolk County Water Authority to raise rates this summer

(East Farmingdale, NY)-  If you live in Suffolk County, you’ll soon see an increase in your water bill.  According to Newsday, the Suffolk County Water Authority approved a rate increase during a board meeting on Thursday night.  Newsday, says the average customer will see rates go up “3.77% or around 1.56 per month”.  The new prices could be seen as early as June 1, 2020.  Newsday also says the Suffolk County Water Authority will “increase the threshold for the higher conservation rate to 89,760 gallons, from 78,540”.
