Police help deliver baby during rush hour

(East Patchogue, NY)-  Suffolk County Police helped to safely deliver a baby during rush hour on Thursday morning in East Patchogue.  Police say the mom, 27-year-old Nicole Gonzalez was in active labor, in the front seat of her vehicle when they arrived to her location at 166 Hospital Road.  Officers Danielle Congedo and Daniel Rosado, both from the Fifth Precinct helped the mother safely deliver a baby girl.  It happened just after 7:20 in the morning.  The mom and baby were transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore.  Both are said to be in good condition.
