(Bay Shore, NY)- As many as seven vehicles were damaged over the weekend by a vehicle fire that happened in the parking lot of the South Shore Mall. Suffolk County Police say Third Precinct officers responded to a vehicle fire at 1701 Westbound Sunrise Highway on Saturday, February 27th at approximately 2:25 p. m. When officers arrived, a Jeep Wrangler was fully engulfed in flames. A 27-year-old man from Smithtown, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital. Six other vehicles sustained damage. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and under investigation.
