Javits Convention Center after receiving COVID-19 vaccines in the Manhattan borough of New York. Millions of New Yorkers with health conditions that leave them at high risk of illness from the coronavirus can now sign up for appointments at state-run vaccination sites like this one, but a shortage of vaccine supply means many will be frustrated in their search. (East Farmingdale, NY)-  The snowy weather on Thursday slowed down the vaccination and COVID-19 testing process for some Long Islander’s.  Nassau County Department of Health cancelled all COVID-19 vaccinations scheduled for county run facilities on Thursday and Friday due to the storm, appointments have been rescheduled for next week.  Officials say anyone who had an appointment at any of Nassau’s three vaccinations sites should receive an email with an updated date and time to come get vaccinated.  The two New York State run COVID-19 vaccination sites on Long Island, at Jones Beach and at Stony Brook University remained open Thursday during the storm for scheduled appointments.  Both Jones Beach and Stony Brook University COVID-19 vaccination sites plan to remain open again on Friday.  The Stony Brook University “P Lot” COVID test site closed early due to the weather on Thursday.  The SBU, “P lot” COVID-19 test site reopened for Friday, you can read more about that, here
