STORM CENTER: Long Island Transit update

(East Farmingdale, NY)-  After a full service suspension on Monday afternoon due to stormy conditions, the Long Island Rail Road resumed service at 4am Tuesday- operating on a weekend schedule.

New York area airports are still struggling to get back on track from the powerful storm, numerous flights were cancelled Tuesday at JFK, LaGuardia and at Long Island MacArthur airport.  Travelers are encouraged to contact their airline carrier directly for more specific information.

The Port Jefferson Ferry will resume service Tuesday at Noon.

The Cross Sound Ferry between Orient Point, NY and New London, CT resumed service across the LI Sound Tuesday morning.
