(East Farmingdale, NY)- If you’re out of work or looking to hire in Suffolk County, there is a new web based tool that can assist you in your search. The Suffolk County Department of Labor Licensing and Consumer Affairs have launched a Virtual Career & Talent Portal. The “One-Stop Employment Center” is available in both English and Spanish. Officials say over 5,000 Long Islanders and almost 200 employers have already registered. The One-Stop Employment Center will also hold virtual hiring events.
On Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10AM, a virtual event will be held for the US Postal Service. Positions available include City Carrier Assistant, Rural Carrier Associate, Postal Support Employee, Mail Handler Assistant/Mail Handler Casual, and Tractor Trailer Operator. On Thursday, January 28th, a virtual hiring event for Rite-Aid will be held from 1:30-3pm. Available positions include both part and full time Pharmacy Technician in Training and Shift Supervisor.
