(Stony Brook, NY)- A New York State COVID vaccination site opens Monday, at Stony Brook University.  Over 7 million people in New York State are now eligible to receive a COVID vaccine but the supply, can’t keep up with the demand. Governor Cuomo announced over the weekend that the Federal Government had reduced New York’s vaccine allotment for this week by 50,000 dosages, down to 250,0000.  The New York State COVID Vaccine Tracker says 77% of the vaccines distributed to Long Island have been administered but Long Islanders continue to struggle with finding appointment times.
