(Mastic, NY)- Suffolk County Police say a Mastic woman was attacked in her driveway over the weekend and her attackers took off with her car, which was a rental. Authorities say the 66-year-old woman was struck in the head with a metal object as she exited her vehicle in her driveway on Burney Blvd in mastic, just before 6pm. The attackers, both male and in their 20’s or 30’s, stole the woman’s keys and took off in the car. The woman was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The stolen vehicle is described as a gray 2021 Nissan Sentra with New Jersey license plate B38 NCZ. Police also report a third male was involved in the robbery and was driving a red Infiniti sedan with a yellow license plate. Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Police.
