YAPHANK, N.Y. (AP) — Police on Long Island are investigating a crash at an intersection that left two men dead. The crash occurred Saturday night in Yaphank. Suffolk County police say 70-year-old Robert Manganaro had stopped his 2004 Chevrolet Suburban at a red light on William Floyd Parkway at about 7:30 p.m. when he was rear-ended by a 2017 Honda Accord driven by 41-year-old Clydon Bazzey. The impact sent Manganaro’s vehicle into the intersection, where it collided with a 2018 Nissan Maxima. Bazzey, of Mastic Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene. Manganaro, of Yaphank, was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital. The driver of the Maxima was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
