Federal Aviation Administration Safety Board investigating crash at Republic Airport

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating  the crash of a twin-engine jet  at Republic Airport in East Farmingdale Sunday. The planes landing gear collapsed causing it to  slid off the runway, federal officials said Monday.

The Plane operated by Talon Air carried two crew members but no passengers at the time of the Sunday night mishap,

The two occupants were transported to Nassau University Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, authorities said.
