(New Hyde Park, NY)- The first American to receive the COVID vaccine by Pfizer was Sandra Lindsey from Port Washington. Sandra is a critical care nurse at LI Jewish Medical Center, in New Hyde Park. Michael Dowling, Northwell president and CEO, called yesterday “a truly is a historic day for science and humanity”. Sandra and others who received the vaccine will get a second dose in 21 days.
