(East Farmingdale, NY)- New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Monday warned that if the current rate of transmission of the coronavirus continues, the number of people hospitalized with the COVID-19, could double in one month. Cuomo said if a region’s hospital capacity could reach 90% capacity, in three weeks time, that region could go back into another lock down with only essential businesses remaining open. As of data released on Monday, there were 935 COVID-19 patients hospitalized on Long Island. The daily positivity rate released on Monday for Suffolk County was at 6.7%.
