(East Farmingdale, NY)- The second wave of the coronavirus on Long Island is hitting Suffolk County pretty hard. On Thursday, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced that Suffolk County has seen more COVID deaths for the month of December than in the months of August, September and October combined.
Data released yesterday showed over a thousand people in Suffolk County tested positive for the virus, just under 800 new cases in Nassau County. Yesterday, 7 day COVID-19 positivity rate in Suffolk County was 6.3%. In Nassau County data released on Thursday showed a 7 day COVID positivity average of 5.1%.
