(East Farmingdale, NY)- The Food and Drug Administration has given the number one ranking to a COVID-19 saliva test developed by SUNY Upstate Medical University and Quadrant Biosciences. The saliva test, called Clarifi COVID-19, is said to be able to detect the virus in its earliest stages. New York Governor Cuomo called SUNY’s COVID-19 saliva test instrumental in helping SUNY campuses across the state, test students and staff. Cuomo’s office also says that the FDA considers the Clarifi COVID-19 among the most sensitive tests for the novel coronavirus.
