The rapid rise of Long Island’s second wave

(East Farmingdale, NY)-  On Long Island the numbers of people infected with the coronavirus has been rapidly rising, especially in Suffolk County.    The percentage of people testing positive in Suffolk County, has risen from around 1% in the beginning of November to now 6.5% as of data released yesterday.  Nassau County is not too far behind Suffolk County, according to data released yesterday, the percentage of people testing positive for COVID-19 in Nassau County was 5.8%.  Health officials and elected officials continue to stress the importance of social distancing, mask wearing and hand washing.
