Coronavirus positivity rates continue to rise in New York

(East Farmingdale, NY)-  Health officials warn that the coronavirus is likely to worsen over the coming weeks.  Infectious disease specialist, Dr. Anthony Fauci, told ABC’s “This Week” that, “in the next few weeks, we may see surge upon a surge”.  On Sunday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the statewide positivity rate had jumped to 4.27%.  On Long Island, COVID-19 rates has also been steady if not increasing.  The Suffolk County Department of Health on Sunday said the 7 day positivity rate for Long Island was 3.6%.  In Suffolk County, the DOH said the 7 day positivity rate was higher at 4%.
