Police say 2 people were injured in a crash involving an ambulance

(Baywood, NY)-  Suffolk County Police say one person was injured Thursday night in a crash that involved an ambulance.  Officials say Third Precinct officers responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a Deer Park ambulance and a SUV in Baywood on November 12, at approximately 7 p.m. The ambulance and SUV collided at the intersection of Bay Shore Road and Riley Street in Baywood. The driver of the ambulance and the driver of the SUV were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with non-life-threatening injuries. Three people in the ambulance were uninjured. There was no patient in the ambulance at the time of the crash.
