Long Islanders wait in long lines to vote early

(East Farmingdale, NY)- This weekend thousands of Long Islanders stood in line for hours to cast their votes for the 2020 Presidential Election.  At Brookhaven Town Hall in Farmingville on Saturday listeners told us they waited in line for five hours.  The wait time on Saturday in Nesconset was said to be three hours, two hours in Dix Hills and about 90 minutes at the polling site in Brentwood.  The AP Wire, reports that early nearly 212,000 votes were cast in New York State on Saturday.  Monday morning, long lines were reported at polling sites in Islip and Mastic.  As of 9 o’clock on Monday morning, the wait time to vote in Mastic was approximately two hours.  And Monday morning, down at the polling site in Islip, the wait time was reported to be one hour.  Early in person voting continues through November 1st.  Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
