Hand sanitizing stations donated to Huntington Town parks

Playing at some Long Island playground, just got a little bit safer.  Town of Huntington Officials announced on Monday that hand sanitizing stations have been donated to the town by the Long Island Board of Realtors for installation at several parks.

Town of Huntington Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci said, “The Long Island Board of Realtors made a generous donation to ensure the Town of Huntington would be able to safely reopen our playgrounds to ensure that as kids return to school and we get closer to cold and flu season, visitors to our busiest parks can use our high-contact playground equipment safely. Thank you to the Long Island Board of Realtors for this act of generosity and concern for our community in an ongoing time of need and uncertainty during the COVID-19 crisis.”

The hand sanitizing stations will be located at Huntington Town parks with the playgrounds that get the highest usage:

  • Heckscher Park in Huntington
  • Cedar Road Park and Sunshine Acres Park in Commack
  • Caledonia Park and Otsego Park in Dix Hills
  • John Walsh Park and Veterans Park in East Northport
  • Greenlawn Park in Greenlawn
  • Breezy Park, Manor Field Park and Terry Farrell Park in Huntington Station
  • Arboretum Park in Melville
