Covid-19 infection rate below 1% statewide, higher rates reported for Long Island

On Thursday, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo said that the COVID-19 infection rate for New York State, remained below 1 percent on Wednesday but on Long Island, the infection rate has been over 1 percent.  On Long Island the COVID rate was 1.2% on Monday, 1.3% on Tuesday and 1.1% on Wednesday.

Positive coronavirus cases have been reported at some Long Island schools.  Several schools on the Island announced positive cases this week, including Longwood, Middle Country and Sachem.  For information on positive COVID-19 cases in your school district, you can access the New York State COVID report card, here.
