Mall owner, Simon Properties announced Monday, that all locations will close this year, on Thanksgiving. In a statement released on Monday, David Simon, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Simon said, “In these challenging times, we made the decision that we will not open on Thanksgiving Day, instead allowing our associates to spend the holiday with their loved ones,”. On Long Island, Simon Properties owns the Roosevelt Field Mall, the Smithaven Mall and the Shops at Walt Whitman.
