Suffolk Police say a 31-year-old man was critically injured Sunday night after being shot in a parked car. Officials say on Sunday, September 13, 2020, around 10:25pm several shots were fired into a vehicle parked at the intersection of Garfield Street and Washington Street in North Amityville. The passenger of the vehicle was struck multiple times. The passenger was transported to the North Amityville Fire Department by the driver of the vehicle. The injured man was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries. Police are asking anyone with information to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
