Be prepared to mask up or pay up onboard the Long Island Rail Road.  Starting today, Monday, September 14th, the MTA will issue a $50 fine to riders who aren’t wearing a mask on public transportation.  The summons will be applied to anyone not in compliance with the mask mandate on board any of the MTA’s modes of transportation including the LIRR, the NYC Subway system, Metro North Trains and NYC Buses.
