Today many Long Island teachers, students and staff, returned to school to begin the 2020-2021 school year. Some returned to the classrooms they left vacant in March, while others began today with virtual learning. School districts in New York will be required to provide the Department of Health with daily updates on the number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 beginning Tuesday, September 8th, 2020. The information will be available on a new online COVID-19 school data tracking dashboard.
