Suffolk County Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Melville on Monday, September 7. A 28-year-old Peekskill, NY, man was driving an SUV westbound on the Long Island Expressway, between Route 110 and Round Swamp Road, when he was struck in the leg by a bullet believed to be fired from another motor vehicle at approximately 11:30 p.m. The man was transported to Nassau University Medical Center where he was treated and released.
