Billy Joel, Amy Schumer and Jerry Seinfeld are asking Congress for funding for music venues impact by the coronavirus
They join 600 other musicians and comedians in a letter to Congress requesting federal assistance for independent music venues.
The move is in support of the National Independent Venue Association, which says without financial help 90% of those places may never open again.
The letter says the collapse of this crucial element in the music industry’s ecosystem would be devastating.
