A pool in Dix Hills was closed Sunday due to one of the pool’s lifeguards tested ” positive,” for the coronavirus according to the Town of Huntington Parks and Recreation.
Officials say the lifeguard last worked at the pool on Wednesday. They say the employee passes daily temperature screening and wore a mask while on the job.
The individual was tested a second time and is awaiting results.
Staff members are being asked to self-isolate until those results come back out of an abundance of caution.
The town says they will be providing additional sanitation as the pool remains closed.
