Suffolk Arson detectives are investigating a fire that damaged several cars in Melville on Monday. Officials say on August 24, 2020 at approximately 2:45 p.m. a vehicle that was being stored in an accessory parking lot behind the Hilton Long Island Huntington, located at 598 Broadhollow Road, caught fire. Officials say the vehicle fire spread to 25 other vehicles in the lot. Police say the cause of the fire is not believed to be criminal and the investigation is ongoing.
