Ten years ago today Katy Perry released one of her biggest hits, “Firework.” The song is now the highest certified track by a lead female artist in RIAA history and has received the 12x Platinum certification. She is now the only lead female artist to achieve this… and only 2 other lead female songs have gone 11x Platinum…. Another Katy Perry track, “Dark Horse,” and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”
