Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which a man was killed in Patchogue early this morning. Fifth Precinct officers responded to a 911 report of an injured man on Maple Avenue at approximately 3:05 a.m., on Thursday, August 20, 2020. When officers arrived at the scene, they found an adult male dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers.
