Police dog finds missing Selden woman

A police dog named, Maverick found a missing woman in Selden on Monday night.  Suffolk Police say the woman had wandered from her home into a wooded area off Boyle Road and Maverick picked up on her scent and brought officers to her.  Police say the woman had been missing for about 4 hours and was found after 5 p. m., lying down on the ground.  She was transported via Selden Fire Department ambulance to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson for treatment of dehydration.
