Nassau County Executive Laura Curran on Sunday said it was, “unacceptable that I am hearing from so many residents that are still without power, even though PSEGLI had promised to restore power by Saturday”. In response to the outages, the County Executive announced that cooling and charging stations would be open across the County through Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the following locations:
- Cantiague Park – 480 W John St, Hicksville, NY, Open 12pm – 6pm, Hockey Rink
- Wantagh Administration Building – 1 King Rd, Wantagh, NY, Open 12pm – 6pm, Community Room
- North Woodmere Park – 750 Hungry Harbor Rd, Valley Stream, NY, Open 12pm -6pm, Community Room
