Several Long Island Lawmakers are calling for PSEG Long Island to refund and reimburse Long Islanders struggling with power outages from Tropical Storm Isaias. Nassau County Executive Laura Curran, New York State Seantors Kevin Thomas, Todd Kaminsky and Jim Gaughran are asking PSEG Long Island to refund residents on their monthly utility bills as well as issue reimbursements for spoiled food, medications and other perishable items.

Local officials say they are also calling for PSEG Long Island to adopt a future policy that offers relief to customers who endure outages lasting more than 24 hours.
