Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who assaulted another man at a parking lot in Melville last month. Authorities say a man was attempting to back out of his parking spot at the parking lot of Uncle Giuseppe’s, located at 890 Walt Whitman Road, on April 11 when another man blocked him in with his shopping cart. When the victim got out of his vehicle the suspect punched the victim several times, causing injuries to his face. The victim self-transported to a local hospital, where he has since been treated and released. The suspect fled in a 2016 white Chevy Silverado. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
