A man was shot in Shirley on Thursday night outside a home on Carnation Drive. Suffolk County Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting on July 23, 2020 just after 9pm. When officers arrived, they found Kevin Valarezo had been shot inside an open garage area of a house, located at 478 Carnation Drive. Valarezo, 21, of Shirley, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing.
