Suffolk Police say a man suffered burns to almost half his body after a propane tank, that he was filling, ignited. Cops say 49 year old Paul Vanancke, who was working for Ideal Bottle Gas Company was filling a 100 pound propane tank at 30 Paprocki Ave in West Islip, when it went on fire just before 10am. Vanancke was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of burns on over 40 percent of his body.
