Taylor Swift will open up the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday with a performance of her new single, “ME!”  Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie will join her.  The Jonas Brothers, Halsey, Madonna, Dan + Shay, and others are also set to perform.  Kelly Clarkson is hosting the event, and Mariah Carey will receive a lifetime achievement award.

Idris Elba married model Sabrina Dhowre in Marrakesh on Friday, April 26th.  They got engaged last year.  This is Elba’s third marriage.

“Avengers:  Endgame” was expected to break records, but it still shattered expectations.  The Marvel flick earned $1.2 billion worldwide in its opening weekend, and $350 million domestically.

  1. “Avengers: Endgame” – $350 million
  2. “Captain Marvel” – $8.1 million
  3. “The Curse of La Llorona” – $7.5 million
  4. “Breakthrough” – $6.3 million
  5. “Shazam!” – $5.5 million
