Camila Cabello Donates $10K to Chess Champ

Camila Cabello donated $10,000 to a homeless boy turned chess champion.  Eight year old Tanitoluwa “Tani” Adewumi fled Nigeria a couple of years ago with his family to escape terrorist violence and currently lives in a Manhattan homeless shelter.  Tani, just last year, joined his elementary school’s chess club, and has now been named New York state’s primary chess champion for all kids kindergarten through third grade.  A GoFundMe campaign for the family was started after the New York Times profiled Tani, and along with Camila’s $10K donation, they have far surpassed their $50,000 goal!

Meantime, Camila revealed she’s been keeping a low profile lately because she’s back in the studio working on new music.

Ariana Grande will headline this year’s Lollapalooza festival in Chicago in August.  The Chainsmokers, Twenty One Pilots, and more will also perform.

“Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner was caught at the Rangers game at Madison Square Garden a couple days ago.  When they put her on the Jumbotron, what else was she to do?  She chugged her entire cup of wine.  Her fiancé Joe Jonas must be so proud!
