Mariah Carey’s 1994 holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has just become the highest-charting Christmas song on the Hot 100 in 60 years.
The last time a Christmas song ranked higher on the Hot 100 was in 1958, when “The Chipmunk Song” by David Seville hit No. 1. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is now also Mariah’s highest-charting hit since 2008, when “Touch My Body” hit No. 1.
