Jennifer Lopez will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.  She’s the first Latina to accept the award.  Madonna, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Pink, and more have all been honored in the past.  The VMA’s will air live August 20th.

Ariana Grande has changed the name of her song “Pete” on her new album to “Pete Davidson.”  When a fan asked her why on Twitter, she said, “I like the way it looks. I love his name and I love him. Music lasts forever. It’ll outlive any tattoo, any memory, any anything, even myself so I want my love for him and how I feel to be a part of that.”  Her new album, “Sweetener,” drops August 17th.

Incredibles 2 hit the $1 billion mark globally on Monday. It’s the fourth release this year to cross that milestone, following Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

“The Sandlot” is getting a prequel!  The movie will reportedly focus on the story of Hercules the dog, or “The Beast.”
