Pride on the Beach!

Pride on the Beach!

Pride has been celebrated on Long Island for almost 30 years and it was a great pleasure to be part of the second annual Pride on the Beach in Long Beach! The LGBT Community has always been a welcoming place where anyone from any walk of life can join, and to be part of the greatest Pride celebration on Long Island was truly an honor and a pleasure. Hosting the fashion show on Saturday June 9th, was a great way to kick off Pride. Getting to bring people on stage and interact with everyone who took part in the fashion show, dance off, and lip sync battle was extremely fun and everyone was having a great time. Just being part of such a positive experience with all of the beach goers on a beautiful day, the first day of Long Island Pride could not have gone any better! Sunday June 10th was the day of the parade. Hosting such a monumental march through the City of Long Beach was a humbling and uniting experience! Especially thanks to the special political guests, Baruch from Good Day NY, and of course our Grand Marshals; Parkland High School students. Getting to meet parade goers that come from all over Long Island to celebrate was inspiring and heartwarming. The celebrations continued on to the packed out boardwalk with tons of vendors and fans of those who performed! Steve Grand, Deborah Cox, Jessie’s Girl, and Rosa from The Voice – all of whom I had the great honor of introducing at the Concert on the Beach! I want to thank the LGBT Network for giving me the opportunity to host, and be part of, this iconic event. They work to put on events and support the LBGT community all across Long Island all year round, not just for one weekend. They put in the hard work and being able to participate in their biggest event was amazing! I also would like to thank Connoisseur Media Long Island for their love and support by being a media sponsor to this inspiring event! Stevie On-Air Personality WALK 97.5
