Rapper Cardi B leads the pack of nominees for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards with ten nods! The VMAs will air live on MTV August 20th. Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, and Camila Cabello are all in the running for Video and Artist of the Year. Bruno and Cardi B’s “Finesse,” Camila Cabello’s “Havana,” Dua Lipa’s “New Rules,” and Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” are all up for Song of the Year. On Forbes’ list of the World’s Highest Paid Entertainers, Ed Sheeran tops the list of highest earning solo artists. He’s earned $110 million in the past 12 months. Also on the list of the top solo acts: Katy Perry earned $83 million, Taylor Swift earned $80 million, Adele earned $69 million, and Beyonce earned $60 million. Billy Joel already has two banners hanging in Madison Square Garden that note his records of most performances there and most shows in a single run. But to commemorate his 100th show on Wednesday, Governor Andrew Cuomo and MSG CEO James Dolan will unveil a permanent tribute to the Piano Man.
Nickelodeon is relaunching “Rugrats.” The series will return with 26 new episodes, plus there’s a live-action movie in the works set to be released in 2020. The original “Rugrats” premiered in 1991 and ran for nine seasons.
