Mark and Jamie’s WALK Breakfast Club Super Bowl Chili Cook-Off went down today!
A bunch of people around the office did a blind taste test, and the winner was: Jamie! Check out her recipe if you’d like to entertain with it at YOUR Super Bowl party this weekend!
Turkey Corn Chili (based on a Rachael Ray recipe!)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
1.3 lb ground turkey
1 can petite diced tomatoes
1 red/orange/yellow bell pepper – whichever you like – chopped
1oz-2oz hot sauce
Seasonings to taste: salt, pepper, garlic powder, garlic salt, adobo, cumin, chili powder
In a medium saucepan, saute onion in vegetable oil until translucent
Add in garlic and cook one more minute
Mix in ground turkey and brown
Once turkey is fully cooked, mix in diced tomatoes (including juice) and bell pepper
Mix in seasonings to taste
Mix in hot sauce to taste and bring to a boil
Lower stove heat and let simmer for 10 minutes
Serve with tortilla chips, shredded cheese, and sour cream!
