Trademark counterfeiting operation in Plainview shutdown

Nassau Police

Lindsay Castelli of Smithtown has been arrested and accused of trademark counterfeiting in Plainview.
The alleged $40 million counterfeiting scheme manufactured fake Gucci, Chanel, Prada and other high-end labels out of the boutique Castelli owns.
She surrendered to Nassau County and she faces a charge of second-degree trademark counterfeiting in the case.
Detectives launched an investigation in April 2021 into Linny’s Boutique, the Old Country Road shop where Castelli is listed as the sole owner.
The probe found the store allegedly contained thousands of assorted clothing, jewelry and other counterfeit items with various designer labels.
