(Huntington)- Huntington Town Hall will open at 10:30 AM on Friday.
Friday Trash Pickup is cancelled, residents are advised to remove trash from the curb so that snow plows can make a clean pass; routes were attempted at 6:00 AM but conditions were not safe to proceed. Residents on Tuesday/Friday trash collection may put out double the amount curbside on Tuesday. Available Refuse staff is supporting the Highway Department with road plowing operations.
HART Bus will be operating on a delayed start at 9:00 AM and all nonessential paratransit trips are being postponed until that time at which conditions will be reassessed.
Storm Warming Centers will now open at 10:30 AM Friday:
- Town of Huntington Senior Center, 423 Park Avenue, Huntington (631) 351-3253 from 10:30 AM-4:30 PM
- Dix Hills Ice Rink (Lobby), 575 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills (631) 462-5883 from 10:30 AM-11:00 PM
The Town of Huntington Senior Center and Senior Beach House will remain closed to the public the second week of January 2022 due to COVID-related staffing shortages; Home Delivered Meals will continue to be delivered.
The closures apply to indoor activities and dining inside the Senior Center facility; the closure will not affect the Home Delivered Meals and drive-through meal pickup on Monday January 10, 2022.
Status of the closure will be reassessed on a eek-to-week basis. Residents with questions regarding meals and activities may contact the Senior Center at (631) 351-3253.
